Hapuku Tree Houses, Kaikoura

Opened in 2003, Hapuku Lodge lies between the Kaikoura Mountain Range and famed Mangamaunu Bay. Created by a family of architects as a contemporary country lodge, it offers six guest rooms, three suites, a spacious stand-alone apartment, and five luxury Tree Houses. The canopy-high Tree Houses come with couples’ spa bath, fireplace, and open-to-air rain fountain showers. Hapuku Lodge positions its guests to experience eco-marine tourism at its finest - comfortable in every way, yet still ‘in the elements’. The restaurant provides fresh baked breads, famed local crayfish and Red Deer.
